Our client, one of the Scotland’s specialist manufacturers of Precision Machined Engineering components is looking for an experienced, professional CNC Programmer/Setter/Operators for their Turning and another for Grinding CNC Machines or a Surface Grinder. The Role

The roles in require applicants who have the ability to look at technical drawings, CAD drawings, who are able to programme, set and operate CNC Turning or Griding equipment or a good surface Grinder. Our client requires CNC Machinists to work from their facility in Motherwell. Our client requires applicants who come from a light, precision, CNC Turning or Grinding (Cylindrical or Surface) or Toolroom engineering backgrounds to produce industrial components to a tight tolerance.

The role will be working on CNC machines to produce low volume or batch components, one off to two hundred. Programming experience essential or Manual Surface Grinding knowledge, working within a Toolroom engineering environment would be an advantage as would experience in using CNC or Manual Turning or Grinding machines.

The Person

Applicants will preferably have present or previous Toolmaking, precision CNC Turning or CNC Grinding or Manual machining experience machining small to large batch components and working in small batch. However, applicants with CNC experience within a Machine Shop, Toolroom environment would also be ideal as long as they are comfortable working to tight tolerances. Personality is of importance to our client who believes in a good working team environment, enabling both personnel and career growth.

Someone who is actually passionate about CNC Turning or CNC/Manual Grinding.

Work pattern is Monday to Friday early finish on a Friday. Overtime will also be available and paid with enhanced rates.

You will receive a competitive salary of between £37-41K basic depending on experience, OT, pension scheme and holiday.
