Logistics Operations Executive

Location: Lanarkshire (On-site, Monday–Friday)

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 (dependent on experience)

Our client is a large, well-established European freight-forwarding and logistics business that continues to experience strong growth. As part of this expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Logistics Operations Executive to join their busy operations team at their Lanarkshire office.

The Role

This is a fast-paced and highly engaging role at the heart of the logistics operation. You will act as the key organiser and liaison between customers who require goods to be moved and the partner hauliers responsible for transporting those loads.

Managing multiple shipments at any one time, you will ensure freight is planned, booked, monitored and delivered to tight deadlines, while maintaining clear communication with all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating the end-to-end movement of freight
• Acting as the main point of contact between clients and partner hauliers
• Booking and managing transport with approved suppliers
• Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving issues
• Ensuring service levels and deadlines are consistently met
• Updating internal systems accurately and in a timely manner

About You

While full training will be provided on the company’s in-house systems and processes, applications can only be considered from candidates with previous logistics operations experience.

You will ideally have:

• Experience working in a logistics or freight operations environment
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work under pressure in a busy, deadline-driven setting
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
