TRANSPORT PLANNER - MOTHERWELL
£33,000-£36,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance After Probation | Total Package up to £43,000
Permanent | 4 On, 4 Off | Day Shifts
Are you an experienced TRANSPORT PLANNER looking for your next opportunity with a well-established transport company?
Our client is looking for a skilled TRANSPORT PLANNER to join their team in Motherwell, routing company-owned vehicles across the UK.
Container transport experience would be ideal and will attract the most competitive salary! Experience in other areas of transport is also welcomed, with opportunities to develop your skills across different transport types.
The Role
Plan and optimise UK-wide vehicle routes cost-effectively.
Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) and drivers' hours regulations.
Keep customers informed and ensure excellent service.
Complete transport administration, costing and contractor rate negotiations.
Work closely with management to ensure vehicles meet company standards and compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For
Strong transport planning and route optimisation experience.
Container transport experience highly desirable.
Excellent UK geographical knowledge.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach to planning and customer service.
What's on Offer?
£33,000-£36,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
£7,000 car allowance after successful completion of probation, taking the total package to £40,000-£43,000.
Permanent position with an established transport business.
4-on, 4-off day shifts: 05:00-17:00, 06:00-18:00 or 07:00-19:00.
