As a Senior Software engineer you will be part of our cloud data engineering team responsible for developing, monitoring, and operating our state‑of‑the‑art data mart platform. In addition, you will be responsible for leveraging cloud native tooling to automate operational tasks and integrate the data mart platform with external systems. You will be responsible for optimizing performance, efficiency and cost to provide best in class value for the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business and customers.

This position will participate in an on‑call rotation to ensure platform uptime.

This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Operating Unit. We are working on‑site 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross‑functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.

This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

  • Complete assigned tasks within established deadlines
  • Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines
  • Design proactive monitoring and alerting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Mentor assigned junior engineers focusing on project support and skill development

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline and a minimum of 4 years of Software Development experience OR a Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of Software Development experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a regulated environment, preferably medical device
  • Demonstrated experience working with CI/CD tools
  • AWS certifications
  • Demonstrated experience in AWS and AWS native tools (some examples are Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Data Lake Formation)
  • Worked in a scrum methodology
  • Ability to take business requirements and work independently to deliver solutions using industry best‑practice
  • Strong security and data‑privacy mindset
  • Experience in Cloud native tools
  • 2+ Python development experience (or similar scripting language)
  • Git experience
  • Demonstrated experience automating routine tasks
  • On call support experience
  • Other duties as assigned
