Automotive Mechanic – Mavis Tire

Mavis Tire is looking for a full‑time Automotive Mechanic located in the Moundsville, WV area.
Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, operating over 2,000 retail locations.

As a member of the Mavis team, you will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of undercar repairs on customers’ vehicles. Responsibilities include performing brake, strut, and shock repairs, completing state‑mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluid levels, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair undercar components such as brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state‑mandated vehicle inspections.
• Change oil and filters; check fluid levels; replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, and reach repeatedly; lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Two (2) years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Extensive personal toolbox of tools used in undercar repairs.
• Preferred:
  State inspection license(s); ASE certification in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
