- Provides an industry leading client service experience both in person and on the phone through the development and expansion of new and existing client relationships.
- Provides financial solutions that meet client needs based on consultative conversations and referrals to other business partners for additional business growth opportunities.
- Cross-trained to support teller transactions as needed.
- Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
- Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services focused on developing, expanding and retaining relationships.
- Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists.
- Participates in the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines and ongoing sales/product knowledge training.
- Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
- Adheres to internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies; stays informed of changes to ensure compliance.
- Engages clients with courteous service, assisting with transactions and helping them navigate the branch.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2 years of client sales and service experience
- Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check and ongoing regulatory requirements
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints
- Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs and occasional locale changes
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional service quality mindset in client interactions
- Experience discussing, recommending and selling deposit, credit and retirement products
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
The annual base salary for this position is $45,760-$59,500.
The annual base salary for the Senior Relationship Banker position is $45,760-$68,500.
