Assembler-2nd Shift

Altec is hiring for an Assembler on the 2nd shift (Sunday–Thursday 3:30 PM–12:00 AM). If you are looking for an entry‑level manufacturing opportunity that offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, this role may be a good fit.

• Use and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read and interpret schematics (blueprints) and work orders.
• Use basic hand tools such as tape measure and specialty equipment.
• Learn to operate all equipment within the cell.
• Perform rework as required.
• Support Altec Production System initiatives and may participate in RCI events.
• Cross‑train and be willing to move to other work areas to support production needs.
• Install vehicle and/or chipper components and accessories.
• Test installed components.
• Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures, and practices.
• Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment.
• Maintain daily time records.
• Perform other duties as assigned (job duties may vary by location).

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic computer usage knowledge desired.
• Vocational training in lieu of experience will be considered.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics desired.
• General knowledge of one or more of the following desired:
  Mechanical, Hydraulics, Electrical, Manufacturing/Production processes.

• Maintain a clean work area using 5S principles.
• Assist co‑workers as needed.
• Participate in RCI events when required.
• May be required to learn Altec programs and/or systems.
• Shift work will be required.
