• Provide licensed practical nursing care to residents under supervision
• Assist elders with day-to-day functions of living
• Work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

• Outstanding Customer Service Skills
• Experience assisting elders with daily living activities
• Ability to function in a team-oriented environment
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving setting
• EDEN certification and Long-Term Care experience preferred

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse training program and completion of a pharmacology course
• Current license from the Michigan Board of Nursing to practice as an LPN or possess a Temporary Permit
• Current BLS card
• Successful completion of the probationary period for the LPN position
• Be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Knowledge of nursing principles and methods; familiarity with the policies and procedures of a medical care facility
• Ability to identify problems and report them promptly
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, residents and families
• Ability to maintain resident care confidentiality
• Conduct oneself with tact and courtesy

Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight for at least 50 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation.
