Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 3+ years of experience and a completed prior travel assignment.

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• Copy of ACLS certification required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required
• Michigan license verification through LARA and Nursys required

• Work in the ICU of a 288-bed acute care hospital and trauma center
• ICU patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity, Step Down is 1:3
• May float to CVICU
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) with 36-hour guarantee
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Deliver quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and plan individualized care
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust care accordingly
• Navy blue scrub dress code
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted
• Candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers with reduced travel rate
• Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• Facility enforces a strict attendance policy allowing no more than two absences or late arrivals before termination
