APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with Turning Point in Mount Clemens, MI looking to add a Truck Driver to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to pick up donated furniture with a partner and deliver it to Turning Point’s housing units. Keep reading for more details!

• Competitive hourly rate ranging between  15- 18 / hr. depending on experience

• Provide exceptional customer service and donor relations through positive communication and problem‑solving.
• Safely pick up and deliver furniture donations as scheduled by the Chief Development Officer.
• Plan routes and prepare maps to ensure timely and efficient donation pick‑ups.
• Load and unload donated items with care to prevent damage to property or goods.
• Maintain the truck’s cleanliness, adequate fuel levels, and overall safe operating condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment.
• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs immediately.
• Prepare the furniture department for new donations by rearranging or rotating merchandise for display, safety, and accessibility.
• Assist with removal of sold furniture and proper disposal of unwanted items.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Willing to work flexible hours and in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 20–70 pounds and sit or stand for long periods.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License and auto insurance
• Excellent driving record and understanding of vehicle maintenance.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card.
