Fiber Installation Technician

Prince Telecom LLC is currently hiring full-time Fiber Optic Field Technicians in the Charlotte, NC area.

We provide paid training, full benefits and a company vehicle.

Pay: $16 - $22/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems.
• Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Install, setup and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers and switches.
• Perform testing on company issued devices and customer devices.
• Attempt to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Complete paperwork accurately, and report/record work order status updates.
• Perform customer service duties by:
  • Greeting and interacting with customers in a professional courteous manner, including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;
  • Reviewing all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement;
  • Educating the customer regarding product and service usage.

• Minimum 18 years old
• Valid U.S. driver's license (required)
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship
• Must live within 60 miles of Charlotte, NC.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Comfortable working in tight spaces (such as crawl spaces or house attics)
• Comfortable working in inclement weather conditions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective communication skills
• Able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends, as needed
• Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs.
