Maintenance Technician
Hiring Immediately!
Location: Mt. Pleasant, IA
Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay: $21/hr.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role follows safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's operational goals and objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment
- Perform emergency, scheduled, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Diagnose issues, replace parts, and make necessary adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders
- Use hand/power tools, meters, and machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, welding)
- Perform facility maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, heights) following safety procedures
- Communicate technical issues with vendors and equipment suppliers
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and support continuous improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent years of education and production maintenance experience
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience
- Strong skills in hydraulic, electronics, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems
- Some PLC experience
- AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance
- Prior diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance experience
- Previous experience in a high-speed industrial environment
- Lean manufacturing experience a plus
