The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads and manages a team of manufacturing engineers to drive the successful execution of projects, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role oversees daily operations, provides technical guidance, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, the manager optimizes processes, improves equipment reliability, and drives innovation. Major responsibilities include resource planning, performance management, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Use Lean methodologies to identify opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements in equipment and processes.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and problem‑solving support for complex engineering issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Partner with management, production, and Product Management to determine engineering feasibility, manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align engineering activities with business objectives.
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Consistently operate in a manner that aligns with the Company Core Values.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering;
Master’s degree preferred. - Well‑developed project management skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to connect and communicate with different audiences.
- Well‑developed leadership skills: ability to influence, develop, and motivate others.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Food service equipment industry experience preferred.
