Hantz Group is a Michigan-based Family Office managing over $11B in assets, with 20+ offices and more than 600 employees. As an Advanced Tax Planning Specialist, you will collaborate with Financial Advisors to develop financial strategies that reduce individual client tax liability, preparing and reviewing federal, state and local tax returns and delivering presentations to clients and prospects.

• Analyze tax liability and prepare tax projections.
• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and trusts.
• Prepare and deliver client and prospects presentations.
• Develop and maintain client base, market and sell tax plans.
• Attend meetings and continuing‑education sessions.
• Take a holistic approach with a team of financial professionals to serve high‑income and net‑worth clients.
• Comply with all industry rules and regulations.
• Represent clients before the IRS and state revenue departments.
• Perform any other tasks assigned.

• Strong sense of professional and personal accountability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and multiple clients.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated self‑starter with entrepreneurial spirit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 6+ years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and trusts.
• Active Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant license.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Experience with CCH Axcess Software preferred.
