Bright Horizons Academy Inc. is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to support students in building meaningful skills and positive outcomes in a caring, structured environment.

Position Summary

As a Behavior Technician, you will help implement individualized behavior support plans that promote communication, independence, and appropriate behavior. Working closely with a clinical team and caregivers, you will provide consistent support during daily activities and track progress to ensure strategies are applied effectively.

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, observant, and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children in an onsite setting in Mount Pleasant, MI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in individualized plans, maintaining consistency across routines and activities
  • Collect and record objective data on behavior and skill development to support progress monitoring
  • Support positive reinforcement and help create learning environments that encourage engagement and growth
  • Communicate effectively with the supervising team and caregivers regarding observations, concerns, and progress
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain confidentiality of all student and family information
Required Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or supporting individuals with behavioral and developmental needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and structured plans
  • Reliability, patience, and a calm approach when responding to challenging situations
  • Ability to accurately observe, document, and report behavioral data
  • Commitment to maintaining a supportive and respectful environment for students and families
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience implementing behavior plans or behavior intervention strategies
  • Familiarity with data collection practices and progress monitoring
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in ongoing training
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs while maintaining consistent support strategies
Compensation

Hourly rate: $17 - $20
