Overview

WHO WE ARE: Since 1999, Northwoods Pet Care Center has delivered exceptional care to animals of all shapes and sizes. Founded by husband-and-wife team Dr. William Kolesar and Julie Kolesar, LVT, our practice was built on a shared passion for animals, a deep connection to our community, and a mission to provide high-quality veterinary care for everyone who walks through our doors—no matter how furry or feathered.

We’re a small animal practice serving canines, felines, and small exotics with a wide range of services including wellness care, diagnostics, elective and orthopedic surgeries, and illness visits. Our compassionate and highly skilled team takes pride in going the extra mile for our patients, and the people who love them.

WHAT LIFE IS LIKE AT NORTHWOODS: Nestled in a college town that’s just “two hours from everything,” life at Northwoods blends a rewarding veterinary career with a true work-life balance.

  • No weekends: We’re closed Saturday and Sunday.
  • Community connection: We work closely with local rescues and stay involved in community events.
  • Team first: From quarterly team outings to holiday events, we invest in relationships with each other as much as we do with clients.
  • Long-standing, experienced team: With one LVT and three other skilled techs, our support team is well-trained, dependable, and eager to help.
  • Strong client bonds: We’re known for building lasting connections with pet owners.
