Member Assist Cart Attendant

Overview

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr this role is in Sam's Club as a Member Assistant – Cart Attendant. You help shape the member’s shopping experience by providing a positive first and last impression, maintaining a well-kept parking lot, assisting members with purchases, and helping load items into vehicles. You will be on your feet and moving throughout the shift, in all conditions.

The role focuses on delivering excellent member service and maintaining a clean, member-ready area. The position is a starting point for a fulfilling career at Sam’s Club.

• Ensure a clean, safe, and ready area for members by maintaining parking lot cleanliness and cart availability.
• Assist members with purchases, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service across the club as needed.
• Help members load items into their vehicles and aid in transporting items within the club as required.
• Promote the company’s products and services and resolve member issues and concerns according to company policies.
• Follow safety procedures, conduct safety checks, and report unsafe situations to facility management.
• Assist with purchasing decisions, process member purchases, and handle payments according to policies for different membership and payment types.
• Maintain organization of merchandise and designated areas; assist with the retrieval of carts/flatbeds.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics guidelines, including communication of progress and adapting to change.

Maintain club operations by notifying members about pickup delays or unavailability of products, offering alternatives, and ensuring items are packaged according to policies. Support pick-up order fulfillment and resolve member issues while promoting products and services.

Ensure facility safety through regular safety sweeps and reporting unsafe conditions. Maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor to assist members with decisions and purchases.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances. Premiums may depend on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
