Staff Accountant

Job Description:

Seeking a Staff Accountant for a small, local public accounting firm located in Mount Pleasant. who will provide client accounting services, financial statement preparation, and tax return preparation. Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries. Participate in audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting. Assist in the preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare tax returns and related documents. Prepare audit work papers and documentation in accordance with firm standards. Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and other relevant accounting standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
2+ years of experience in tax and financial statement preparation.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
