Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified, friendly and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Kids Teeth in Mount Pleasant, SC. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will help deliver exceptional dental care that makes our patients feel like family. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and has a calm demeanor that helps children and parents feel at ease. A well‑qualified applicant is state‑licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in South Carolina and has at least two years of experience.
Responsibilities- Perform the full scope of dental hygiene practices
- Evaluate gingival health and overall oral tissue condition
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventative care
- Collaborate with the dental team on treatment planning and presentation
- Capture digital X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized and sterile work environment
- Support team members and office operations as needed
- Adhere to all health, safety and infection control protocols
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current South Carolina Dental Hygienist licensure
- At least 1–2 years of experience in dental hygiene (pediatric experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and dental safety guidelines
- Proficient computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Commitment to providing high‑quality, compassionate patient care
- Positive attitude and a team‑oriented mindset
- Must be available to work at both Mount Pleasant locations (Zip 29464 and 29466)
- Twice a month, during the school year, hours extend from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.
