We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Thyroid Physician (MD or DO) to join our growing team at Charleston Thyroid Center. This is an exceptional opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible family practice physician or endocrinologist to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients with thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Graves’ disease, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer.

If you have passion and enthusiasm to deliver outstanding patient care, we will provide 1:1 apprenticeship and training in all aspects of thyroid care, medication dosing, diagnosis, thyroid ultrasound, thyroid biopsy, and minimally invasive thyroid procedures. The ideal candidate will share our commitment to integrative care, combining both conventional and complementary approaches to deliver personalized treatment plans that empower patients to reclaim their health and vitality.

In addition to our brick-and-mortar practice, you will have the opportunity to practice nationally via our telemedicine practice, My Thyroid Doctor .

• Be willing to complete a 3-6 month apprenticeship designed to teach you all things thyroid (length of training is dependent on your incoming knowledge and experience).
• Provide comprehensive thyroid-specific care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, autoimmune thyroid diseases, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer.
• Perform and interpret thyroid ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating conventional therapies (e.g., thyroid hormone replacement), integrative approaches, and lifestyle management.
• Offer expert opinions for patients seeking expert guidance on thyroid disease management.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and exceptional outcomes.
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for living thyroid healthy, fostering empowerment and trust.
• Stay current with advancements in thyroidology, contributing to the practice’s reputation for excellence and innovation.
• Participate in community outreach and philanthropy initiatives, aligning with our mission to make a positive impact locally and globally.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with practice standards.

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Practice or Endocrinology.
• Valid medical license in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain).
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and open to bridging conventional with integrative medicine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
