As a High Voltage Service Trainer, you’ll play a key role in developing the skills and expertise of our field service teams and customers. Develop and deliver engaging technical training on high voltage equipment and safety protocols.
Lead training sessions for both internal teams and external customers.
Oversee the certification process for field service personnel.
Maintain a state-of-the-art training center and its equipment.
Prepare and update comprehensive training documentation and bulletins.
Provide expert technical support and advice to field service teams.
Collaborate with business units to align training with company strategy.
Continuously enhance your own technical knowledge and certifications.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your backgroundBachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
Proven experience in a technical or field service role, ideally with high voltage equipment.
Minimum 10 years' experience with high voltage equipment such as High Voltage Breakers (Dead Tank, Live Tank), GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), GCB (Generator Circuit Breaker), PASS (Plug & Switch System), High Voltage Disconnectors and Grounding Switches, Power Quality Equipment, or Digital Stations is a significant differentiator.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering concepts.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Fluency in English (Spanish or other languages a plus).
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
