Patient Services Coordinator III - (Heart & Vascular, Okatie, SC)

Location:

Hilton Head Heart - Okatie, SC (potential for travel to Hilton Head Location).

• Timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges and collections.
• Scheduling patient appointments accurately and promptly.
• Cross‑training in multiple administrative support functions.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Experience:
  
  One year of clerical experience in a medical office setting (required). Other related experience may be considered.
• Skills:
  
  Knowledge of medical office software (updating patient demographics, posting charges, copays, scheduling). Excellent verbal communication, organizational, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to work with changing priorities, interact with individuals from all cultures and authority levels, maintain confidentiality, work in a team and possess initiative.
• Medical terminology knowledge (basic), EPIC system mastery, detailed knowledge of multiple payor billing requirements, familiarity with coding requirements for practice specialty.
• Preferred:
  Proficiency in all computer software used in practice.
