Director of Youth Ministries

Hibben United Methodist Church is looking for a part-time Director of Youth Ministries. Located in the growing town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, this faith community of 600 members is known for its “heart for missions” by those who live in the Charleston area.

We are searching for a spiritual leader who will develop and implement faith leadership skills of connection, disciple building, and mission for middle and high school students in their journey of faith to become disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. This ministry program will focus on connection of young teens to youth ministry (within and outside of Hibben UMC), age appropriate discipleship, experiences for all age groups, and cultivation of hearts for God’s work through mission, scripture, and connection.

An ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic leader who excels in drawing in and engaging youth, possesses a deep and living relationship with Jesus Christ, a calling to minister to youth and impact teen development, gifts in leadership and vision, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree and experience/participation/leadership in youth programs is required.
