Director of Nursing – New Facility 2025
Sea Grove Recovery, located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is opening a 41‑bed behavioral health facility offering substance use treatment for adults and dual diagnosis care for those with co‑occurring mental health disorders. The Director of Nursing will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, integrating a patient‑centric nursing strategy, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, cost‑effective health care in accordance with UHS mission, vision, values, government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.
ResponsibilitiesThe DON will focus on five core areas:
People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance. The DON participates in strategic planning, contributes to institutional goals, and manages clinical and educational support with corporate resources, peer nurse leadership, and shared governance.

- Current license to practice professional nursing in South Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited program;
Master of Science strongly preferred. - Working knowledge of substance use disorders and related trainings such as motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, or de‑escalation.
- Knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices; highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience; behavioral health setting preferred.
