Role OverviewWithin our organization, the Sales Support team assists outside sales representatives across the United States. Responsibilities include managing contracts, quoting rates, reserving allocation on vessels, serving as a point of contact for customers regarding contract questions or issues, and working closely with other internal departments to ensure a quality customer experience while doing business with OOCL.
Responsibilities- Manage contracts, quoting rates, and reservation of vessel allocation.
- Act as a point of contact for customers about contract questions or issues.
- Assist with contract maintenance, renewals, and space requests.
- Qualify, process, and troubleshoot requests for spot quotes, trade‑offered rates, and bids.
- Assist sales in maintaining customer records and profiles.
- Apply problem‑solving skills as applicable.
- Maintain service contract knowledge (rate & surcharge structure + terms & conditions).
- Answer and qualify customer inquiries related to rates and service offerings.
- Direct customers to appropriate department as needed.
- Collaborate on onboarding activities with outside sales.
- Must be able to function in MS Office, especially Excel, Power Apps, and Outlook.
