Business Development & Account Manager

Apex Ridge Logistics coordinates dump-truck hauling and construction focused logistics for contractors, with deep roots in the South Carolina Low country and coastal Georgia. Contractors work with us because we show up, communicate, and give them real-time visibility into their hauling through GPS tracking and digital reporting tools.

We're looking for someone to win new business and then own it. You'll land the customer and help negotiate the contract. From there, you'll stay close to the day-to-day work, build relationships with the customer representatives on site as well as with the haulers running it, and make sure every job is handled professionally from start to finish. You'll report directly to the owner and have a real say in how we grow, from the Southeast to new markets nationwide.

• Find and win new contractor, sitework, and heavy civil customers, starting in the Southeast and growing nationally
• Handle RFPs, bids, hauling proposals, and site plans with our team
• Manage your accounts from job kickoff through final payment
• Build strong working relationships with haulers, including in new markets
• Watch the numbers on your accounts: margin, billing accuracy, and receivables

• A track record of winning and keeping business customers, ideally in construction, aggregates, asphalt, equipment rental, or freight
• A clear understanding of revenue versus margin, and the discipline to protect it
• Comfort on jobsites, relationships with drivers, superintendents, and project managers
• Strong follow-through and an organized pipeline
• A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and willingness to travel
• You live in South Carolina or are willing to relocate

• Base salary plus commission on gross margin, uncapped
• Vehicle stipend, Insurance stipend, and 401(k)
