Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong COBOL developer with in-depth experience supporting Mainframe applications. This role is open to remote candidates able to obtain a security clearance.
Duties:- Participate in requirements gathering sessions to define business requirements and develop technical specifications. Provide technical input on application design and technical direction.
- Design, develop, and maintain COBOL programming.
- Optimize database operations working with Db2data flows, queries, and file processing.
- Support job scheduling and batch processing using JCL.
- Maintain CICS screens and online applications.
- Collaborate with EDI teams and nonhostapplication teams to ensure solutions align.
- Support unit testing and debugging prior to production.
- Mentor junior developers and participate in knowledge share sessions.
- In-depth experience working with secure, high volume COBOL applications
- Hands-on work with Db2
