RN - PACU

Overview

RN - PACU - Full Time role at Titus Regional Medical Center, Mount Pleasant, TX.

• Provides care appropriate to the age of the population served.
• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development.
• Understands and administers medications/treatments in a timely manner.
• Utilizes the nursing process according to standards of care.
• Uses appropriate pain assessment tools and educates patients/families regarding pain management.
• Documents pain assessments, education provided, and education outcomes.
• Administers pain treatments and evaluates effectiveness in a timely manner.
• Identifies patient/family learner needs and learning barriers; documents education provided.
• Demonstrates critical thinking in decision making and documents admission history, ongoing assessment, plan of care, and medication administration.
• Documents blood and blood product administration as required.
• Monitors tasks delegated to other team members; assists with or performs procedures requiring technical and manual skills.
• Clarifies inaccurate or contraindicated orders via appropriate consultation and makes appropriate interdisciplinary referrals.
• Monitors and interprets clinical information; reports abnormal findings as appropriate.
• Provides accurate information during transfer of patient care; adheres to patient experience initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains composure under stress; follows TRMC vaccine policies as mandated by CMS.

• Education:
  
  Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Texas (required).
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  BLS (required at hire); ACLS within 90 days of hire; PALS within 90 days of hire.

• One year of ACS/PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
