Position Summary
The ICU RN should know and conform to the Texas Nursing Practice Act, Board rules, and all federal, state, or local laws. The RN provides, without discrimination, nursing services to patients regardless of age, disability, economic status, gender, national origin, race, religion, or health problems. The RN has a principal responsibility for total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient.
The RN plans, provides, evaluates, and documents nursing care, discharge planning, and teaching. The RN assures the plan is carried out and provided in a safe environment, through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel, and educates patients, family, or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care.

- Functions as charge nurse when required.

- Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by CMS.
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Texas.
- BLS required upon hire date.
- ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
- TNCC preferred within one year of hire.
- One year of acute care experience preferred.
