Counter Sales Person at Elliott Electric Supply

Hours are 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM – Noon on every 5th Saturday.

The Counter Sales Person is responsible for providing assistance to customers during the sales/purchase process and for responding to customer inquiries in a professional manner. Maintain knowledge of product information (including catalogs and price sheets), product promotions, and advertisements. Market all products and suggest replacement/alternative products when appropriate.

Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with employees averaging 44–45 hours per week and overtime most weeks. After the first 90 days, earn 1% sales commission and become eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, hospital, accident coverage, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off after 90 days.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Minimum one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products required.
• Strong mathematical ability and basic computer familiarity.
• Clear written and verbal communication; strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work well in a team and provide strong customer service.
• Fluent in English;
  Spanish is a plus.

This is a safety-sensitive position. A pre-employment drug test is required. The test screens for drugs per HHS/SAMHSA guidelines. Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 70 lbs (occasionally more).
