Description

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: The primary focus of this position is to be a front-line contact with prospects and leads, working closely with management to achieve maximum results. The role involves building positive customer relationships, identifying customer needs, presenting company products, closing sales, and ensuring client satisfaction within the assigned region or customer base.

Key duties include initiating contact with prospects, leads, and existing customers through personal efforts, managing the sales process from approach to follow-up, answering questions, gathering information, informing about products, entering orders, and coordinating internally and externally.

Sales Responsibilities
  • Provide growth and development opportunities to existing customers; discuss referral programs and testimonials.
  • Develop rapport with leads, build relationships, and increase sales within the assigned region or sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records in the database.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer wants, needs, and applications.
  • Recommend appropriate products and procedures to meet customer objectives.
  • Close sales by solving customer needs.
  • Follow up on order processing and delivery.
  • Support customer service as needed.
  • Identify additional sales opportunities with each customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Requirements
  • Knowledge of company products and key components.
  • Internal communication, record keeping, and order processing.
  • Competitors' products, market position, and pricing.
  • Industry trends.
  • Sales and customer relationship skills.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Proactively contact leads and customers via telephone.
  • Maintain good relationships with the sales team.
  • Represent Priefert Steel professionally.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Assess customer needs accurately and recommend suitable products.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and resolve issues.
  • Enter order and contact information timely.
  • Complete sales and marketing reports as directed.
  • Use company resources responsibly.
