As a Lead Orthodontic Assistant, you will play an integral role in creating beautiful smiles for our patients. You will work within a dynamic team of orthodontic professionals, providing support to our Orthodontist and assisting with chair‑side procedures. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients for orthodontic treatments – cleaning teeth, taking X‑rays, making impressions.
- Examining patient mouths and documenting irregularities.
- Assisting the orthodontist during procedures, such as adjusting braces and placing appliances.
- Managing patient records and updating charts.
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care.
- Sterilizing instruments before and after use.
- Following safety and infection‑control protocols.
- Completing Invisalign procedures: attachments, adjustments, and scans.
- Performing full‑arch bonding (top and bottom) and bonding fixed retainers.
- Debonding and rebonding brackets.
- Ensuring all appliances are ready for clinic day.
- Completing OSHA weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks on administrative days.
- Using various digital scanners.
- Making clear retainers.
- Training new orthodontic assistants.
- Participating in marketing events.
- Delivering expanders, space maintainers, and Forsus devices.
- Assisting in evaluating potential new assistants or those in training.
- Communicating with patients and parents about poor oral health, non‑compliance, or broken brackets.
- Performing all duties at other clinic locations when traveling.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Orthodontic assisting experience – 1 year required.
- Availability on Saturdays.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certificate of completion for Orthodontic Assistant Courses (preferred).
- Ability to learn quickly and efficiently.
- Proficiency in multitasking.
- Professional, organized, and detail‑oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Travel availability to Waukegan, Hales Corners, and Headquarters.
- Monday – Wednesday: 8:45 am – 5:00 pm
- Thursday – Friday: 6:45 am – 3:00 pm
- 2 Saturdays per month
- Home office location: 1101 S. Green Bay Rd, Beloit, WI 53511

Pay range: $20 – $28 per hour.
