Position Summary

We are seeking a Controls Field Engineer to join our team in Mount Pleasant, WI. This role is responsible for configuring and developing application-specific control systems primarily at customer sites. The position also supports the design, analysis, and maintenance of control systems for existing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure control systems on various applications, ensuring proper function across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Assist in writing documentation including design specifications and test plans.
  • Evaluate hardware/software deviation requests and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in drafting product modifications and writing BOMs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and introduce new technologies.
  • Provide product support for Production and Product Service.
  • Test software/hardware and write associated reports.
  • Maintain professional development through training and publications.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic experience with editors, compilers, revision control software, and PLM/PDM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems and programming languages (C, , C#).
  • Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition equipment and CAN communications (SAE J1939).
  • Valid passport required.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional design and development efforts.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting across software and hardware domains.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
