Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Wednesday or Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Wednesday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

* Level 4 Data Center Technician

* Overview:
* * We are seeking an experienced Level 4 Data Center Technician
* to join our team. This role involves advanced break-fix support for GPUs, servers, networking equipment, and cabling, as well as managing tickets through ITSM systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience deploying fully populated GPU or network racks in a data center environment, including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, hot-air containment, and overhead cable tray installation. Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper, fiber SM/MM/MPO), routing, dressing, and connector types is essential.

* Key Responsibilities:

* * Perform advanced tasks and support Level 1-3 activities as needed.

* Install, cable, and configure servers and switches according to documentation.

* Inspect hardware for damage and ensure proper installation of components (NICs, drives, memory).

* Maintain cable management standards and verify connectivity with network administrators.

* Troubleshoot and perform break-fix repairs on servers, GPUs, and network equipment.

* Manage tickets using ITSM tools and provide timely resolution.

* Deploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring proper functionality.

* Land fully populated GPU or network racks, including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, and containment setup.

* Interpret BOMs to confirm all required materials are present.

* Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructure within the data center.

* Handle and install optical modules (SFP, QSFP) and clean fiber connectors (SC, LC, MPO).

* Lead and manage teams effectively; prioritize workload and monitor project deadlines.

* Ensure compliance with safety standards and data center best practices.

* Document progress using tracking systems, reports, and digital photos.

* Travel as required for project needs.

* Requirements:
* * 10+ years of deployment and/or break-fix experience in a data center environment.

* Extensive experience with GPU and network rack installations.

* Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper, fiber SM/MM/MPO).

* Experience handling optical modules and cleaning fiber connectors.

* Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects under pressure.

* Familiarity with DC power systems and telecom engineering designs for enterprise-level data centers.

* Strong communication and documentation skills.

* Willingness to travel as needed.

* Preferred Certifications &

Skills:

* * CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT (or equivalent experience).

* CCNA certification preferred.

* MCP/MSCE certification preferred.

* Experience with Windows OS and scripting (Power Shell, Python, Bash).

* Familiarity with ITIL framework and ticketing systems.

* OSHA
30 or higher certification.

* Location:

* Onsite in WI
Focus: GPU cluster deployments within enterprise-level data centers.

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
