Repair Technician 1st-2nd Shift –

The Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing failures, diagnosing root cause, recommending corrective actions, monitoring and maintaining testing station performance, researching component datasheets, using complex equipment (3DX‑Ray system, solder pot, rework station), training technicians, guiding soldering techniques, and performing other duties as assigned.
Working hours:
1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday‑Friday) or 2nd shift (3:30 pm–12:00 am, Monday‑Friday).
- Troubleshoot and repair failures; diagnose root cause and recommend corrective action.
- Monitor and maintain testing station performance.
- Research component datasheets to distinguish operational characteristics and functional inputs/outputs.
- Ensure Repair Technicians follow standard testing procedures.
- Use complex equipment such as 3DX‑Ray system, solder pot, and rework station for troubleshooting and repair duties.
- Train Repair and Test Technicians on new and existing testing procedures and product troubleshooting.
- Guide Repair Technicians on soldering techniques used during repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2‑year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
- Strong understanding of printed circuit board testing procedures.
- Experience reading prints, schematics, and manufacturing documents.
- Proficiency in testing.
- Prior experience in IPC‑A‑610 or IPC‑7711.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering with specialization in PCB technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S standards, and QMS (ISO‑9001).
- Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication with peers and management to meet quality and timeliness objectives.
- Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610/J‑STD‑001 soldering technologies and workmanship standards.
- Expert manual soldering skills (Thru‑Hole, SMT, leadless, BGAs).
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, DVM, network analyzers, waveform generators, LCR meters, etc.
