Repair Technician; 2nd Shift

FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Repair Technician to research component datasheets when necessary to distinguish operational characteristics and functional inputs/outputs. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the department in an office/production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in smart manufacturing.

• Troubleshoot and repair failures; diagnose root cause and recommend corrective action.
• Monitor and maintain testing station performance.
• Research component datasheets to distinguish operational characteristics and functional inputs/outputs.
• Ensure Repair Technicians follow standard testing process.
• Use complex equipment for troubleshooting and repair duties, including a 3DX-Ray system, solder pot, and rework station.
• Train Repair Technicians and Test Technicians on new and existing testing procedures and product troubleshooting.
• Guide Repair Technicians on soldering techniques used during repairs.
• Conduct manual soldering:
  Thru-Hole, SMT, Leadless, BGAs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 2‑year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience is highly desired.
• Strong understanding of printed circuit board testing procedures.
• Experience reading prints, schematics, and other manufacturing documents.
• Experience in testing.
• Prior experience in IPC‑A‑610 or IPC‑7711.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering specializations in printed circuit board technologies and related components.
• Written and verbal communication skills to achieve all deliverables within team environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S standards.
• Understanding of QMS (Quality Management System) and ISO‑9001 standards.
• Ability to work in both team and individual environments with minimal supervision.
• Effectively communicate with peers and management to meet quality and timeliness objectives.
• Knowledge of soldering technologies and workmanship standards (IPC‑A‑610 / J‑STD‑001).
• Expert manual soldering skills:
  Thru‑Hole, SMT, Leadless, BGAs.
• Use all electronics equipment: DVM, oscilloscope, network analyzer, waveform generator, LCR meters, etc.
