Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician
to join its established Pulmonary service line of SSM Health - Medical Group. This is an employed position with SSM Health Medical Group located in Mt. Vernon and Centralia, Illinois, with easy access to St. Louis, Chicago, Evansville, Indianapolis, Louisville, Nashville, & Memphis.
Highlights of the opportunity include:
- Practice at a brand new facility
- State-of-the-art Sleep Center located on the site of the physicians' clinic
- Established hospitalist program for inpatient admissions
- Facility is a not-for-profit Catholic institution affiliated with SSM Health Illinois
- Employed position within a hospital-affiliated medical group
- Serving a 250,000 population across 9 counties
- Work approximately 0.75 FTE as a Pulmonary physician, including pulmonary clinic, consults, and procedures
- Work approximately 0.25 FTE as a Critical Care physician in a 16-bed ICU
- No call responsibilities for pulmonology
Financial package includes:
- Guaranteed base salary from $525k to $550k based on experience
- Signing bonus and quality incentives available
- Occurrence-based malpractice insurance
- Student loan repayment options
Candidate requirements:
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine
- Illinois medical license preferred but not required
- Ability to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Responsibilities include outpatient clinics, pulmonary consults, procedures, and outreach clinics during clinic weeks
