American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring IL RN licensure and 1 year of telemetry experience.

• Night shift position (3x12 or 4x12), Monday through Thursday with occasional weekend shifts
• PCU/telemetry unit caring for patients with COPD, CAD, CHF, AFib, sepsis, and COVID
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• No on-call expectation
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, starting IVs, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and bedside cardioversion
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of cardiac drips
• Must be able to work 2 of 4 winter holidays based on scheduling needs
• Navy scrubs required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6-month break before returning
