Responsibilities:

• Perioperative Assessments, including obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Assisting in the Operating Room
• Managing post operative care
• Offering counseling and education to meet patient's needs, making appropriate referrals

Experience and

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant school
• Bachelors Degree with a PA Surgery concentration, Masters Degree preferred
• Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York
• NCCPA(certified) DEA license/CPR-BLS/NPI/NCC PA required.
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
• Prior experience as a Surgical PA We offer an excellent salary based on years of experience and a benefits package through 1199. The starting hourly rate starts at $76.69 hourly and increases based on years of experience
