Coffing Electric is hiring an Accounts Receivable Administrator in Mount Vernon. If you are the person who keeps the money moving in an office, and you will pick up the phone to collect what a customer owes, read this one carefully.

We are an electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, industrial, solar and agricultural customers across Central Ohio. Our crews work year-round. This seat makes sure every job we finish gets invoiced, and every invoice gets paid.

As the Accounts Receivable Administrator at Coffing Electric, you own invoicing as work gets done, call customers about what they owe, keep receivables current and handle general office administration. Success here is simple: work gets invoiced as soon as it is done, not weeks later. Past-due balances shrink and stay small, because customers know you will call. On any day, you can say who owes us money, how much and for how long.

And the office runs smoother because you are in it.

• Own invoicing from start to finish. As work gets done in the field, you get accurate invoices out the door.
• Manage the full invoicing portfolio, so no finished job goes unbilled
• Call customers and companies about open balances, and follow through until they are paid
• Keep accounts receivable current: post payments, track aging and know who owes what at any moment
• Work with the field crews and project managers to get the job details you need to bill
• Handle standard office administration: phones, email, filing, data entry and whatever the office needs that day

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, invoicing or collections
• Confidence on the phone. You can call about an overdue bill and keep the customer relationship strong.
• Organized and detail driven. You can track a stack of open invoices and never lose one.
• Comfortable with accounting and invoicing software (Quick Books, Jobber, or similar), email and spreadsheets
• Strong customer service and clear written communication
• Construction, trades or contractor office experience is a plus
• Willing to complete a standard background check and drug screen
• A reliable commute to our office in Mount Vernon

• $40,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience
