Job Details:

• 13-week assignment working ICU night shifts

• Weekend coverage required

• Minimum 1 year of experience required

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS minimum

• Additional certifications preferred: NIHSS, PALS, CCRN

• EMR system:
Paragon/Allscripts

• Charting system experience with McKesson preferred

• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

• Float to similar units within acuity level (will not float out of acuity)

• May float to affiliate hospitals nearby

• Essential skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring

• Handle special equipment including IABP, Impella pump, Swan Line, EKOS for pre/post PCI patients

• Perform vascular procedures with patient recovery responsibilities

• Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

• Free parking available in unrestricted areas

• Block scheduling available on case-by-case basis

• Complete non-billable modules pre-start and during orientation (average 4 hours)

• Complete billable modules after orientation during assignment if applicable

Adex Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
