DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Tech to give life at our Apple Valley Dialysis in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Paid Training Provided (some health care experience preferred)

ResponsibilitiesSchedule: Monday - Saturday 4:00 am - 5:00 pm (rotational schedule with every other Saturday)
Shift differential for travel, paid mileage (if you float to another clinic for a shift)
Compensation increases as you complete different levels of training and take on more responsibility
Dialysis Tech – Day to Day
25%:
Receives patient into treatment/exam area; weighs patient, takes temperature and blood pressure pre- and post-dialysis; documents on all dialysis flow sheets. Performs and records vital signs and all other parameters of ESKD patients as per DaVita policy and/or state regulations; obtains blood samples and culture specimens and prepares for shipment.
2x 5%:
Under guidance of nurse and/or preceptor sets up and monitors dialysis machines and RO water system; responds to alarms; performs safety checks; dismantles, cleans and disinfects dialysis machines; performs end of therapy terminal cleaning and disinfection with guidance of nurse and/or preceptor.
20%:
Collects patient data and reports to nurse/preceptor related to monitoring and documenting status of vascular accesses; documents patient observations and seeks guidance when levels are out of normal range for ESKD patients; reports patient parameters to registered nurse as needed.
Under guidance of nurse/preceptor initiates dialysis via approved accesses using proper cannulation or central venous catheter techniques in accordance with state, federal and local regulations.
20%:
Reviews dialysis prescription, notes general physical and mental condition; obtains information/data to determine compliance to dietary or medication regimen; documents observations and reviews with nurse/preceptor.
5%:
Performs clerical duties as needed and reviews with nurse/preceptor which may include: filing, lab requisitions, scheduling appointments, answering phones, ordering supplies, billing, data entry and maintaining patient charts.
Dialysis Tech Requirements
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in all DaVita computer systems within 90 days of hire required
Dialysis Technician Certification by a CMS approved state certification program or national certification program required within 18 months of hire or position change
Additional state requirements/regulations where applicable
