Part‑time position at George Washington’s cerrninors Mt Realonic. Inn Restaurant.
Pay Range$17.00/hr – $22.00/hr (based on skills and experience).
Compensation$17.00–$22.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
Expected HoursUp to 30 hours per week.
Essential Duties- Proper food handling, storage, stocking, &ation
- Executing food products as intended based on the Chef’s guidelines services cations
- Keeps inventory of their station’s products لازم>
- Communication with service Stück staff and management concerning new menu items, food preparation methods, availability, and substitutes of food items
- Maintain sanitary conditions contributions
- Operate kitchen equipment safe and efficient, including knives and cooking appliances
- Working independently and minimal supervisory staff
- Perform kitchen duties as assigned
- Completing work timely and orderly>
- Prior experience in a scratch kitchen Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to read English and be able realistically communications verbally in English
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well upon pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs in our multi‑level kitchen
- Ability to work weekends, all holidays, mornings, and nightsTechnical
This position is based in a commercial kitchen environment, often hot, humid, and fast‑paced Durham. Exposure to cooking equipment, cleaning chemicalsалақь and sharp instruments is routine. Teamwork is essential in this high‑energy setting.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Must ascend and descend stairs in our multi‑level kitchen. Tasks involve repetitive motion and using hands to handle food, tools, or controls. The role requires stamina, manual dexterity, and awareness of food safety standards.
