Site Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supervisor performs exempt executive work, including the daily supervision of hourly laborers and lead persons. The primary duties involve overseeing sanitation lead persons and laborers within designated departments or areas of our customers' plants to ensure safe, efficient work that complies with regulatory agencies, customer requirements, and PSSI policies and procedures. Supervisors are fully accountable for day-to-day department responsibilities and participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining sanitation laborers.

They serve as the first line of contact for team member complaints and grievances. Supervisors collaborate closely with the Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, and Complex Manager to achieve operational objectives. Due to the nature of this work, applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES

To qualify for the Supervisor position, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read, write, add, and subtract; 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience; basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel and Word); ability to wear PPE; and capacity to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent, strong phone skills, recruiting and interviewing skills, people skills, professionalism, attention to detail, safety consciousness, results-driven attitude, accountability, approachability, customer service orientation, independence, honesty, leadership, motivation, teaching ability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to wear PPE, including rain gear.
