Junior Account Manager

Dumbaugh Insurance is a family-owned independent insurance agency serving local communities since 1939 with offices in Mount Vernon, Fredericktown, and Steubenville, Ohio. We represent multiple insurance companies to find the best personal and commercial insurance options for our clients. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant/Junior Account Manager to join our team.

The Junior Account Manager position is our entry level position into the world of insurance. This position is a hybrid role of receptionist and account manager. You will receive an introduction to our office and working environment while we begin to add layers of insurance knowledge. The ideal candidate should be a team player, detail oriented, and motivated to learn. This role would support our current service & sales team and contribute to the success of our agency.

The goal for our Junior Account Manager role is to hire, educate, train, and support the right candidate and prepare them for success in our agency and beyond. Our training and education programs provide an opportunity for promotions into other roles at our agency as you gain insurance skills, knowledge and experience. From day one, we start every employee on the road to become a licensed insurance agent opening up new opportunities and career paths.

• Greet clients and manage phone calls in a friendly, professional manner
• Complete customer transactions quickly and accurately
• Accept and process customer payments
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance
• Support the service and sales teams with day-to-day tasks
• Perform additional duties as needed
• Adhere to your assigned schedule and work well in a team setting

No experience necessary

• Valid Drivers License
• Reliable Transportation

• Some flexibility on hours and schedule
• Prefer 35 to 40 hours a week
• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

• In office, remote work is NOT available for this position

• Open – Monday through Friday
• Office Hours – 8am to 5pm

• Compensation for this position is variable, starting at $17 an hour plus bonuses with the average first year employee earning between $30,000 and $40,000 depending on the hours they work and their learning pace.
