Temporary Teacher – Complex Needs Class (Cwmbach Community Primary School)

Salary: Teacher's Salary plus ALN Allowance £2838 p.a.

Job description:

Temporary Teacher of Key Stage 2 Learning Support Class (Complex Learning Needs), covering a secondment until the end of the Academic Year 2027. The role involves teaching a class of approximately 10 students from Year 3 to Year 6 within a mainstream school, supported by a Learning Support Assistant.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering lessons tailored to pupils with complex learning needs.
• Collaborating with the lead teacher and Learning Support Assistant to support pupils’ development.
• Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate pupil records.
• Participating in staff meetings and training requirements as stipulated.

Qualifications and experience:

• Appropriate teaching qualification and school experience.
• Experience working with pupils with complex learning needs.
• Relevant specialist professional development; candidates without specialist training expected to complete appropriate training.

Start date: 1 January 2027.
