Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Call required 1 day per week, Friday and weekend every 3rd week

• Block scheduling type with patient ratios of 5 during days

• Work with patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Handle approximately 40 visits per day with 3 rooms and 3 beds available

• Perform ultrasound guided procedures including breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis

• Work with Siemens ultrasound equipment with appropriate transducers for patient populations

• Weekend coverage when fully staffed with 4 technologists, each tech covers 1 weekend

• 3 hours of orientation provided

• Float not required

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Community hospital experience preferred

• Travel experience highly preferred

• Required certifications: ARDMS or ARRT registered, current CPR/BLS, AR License

• Graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program required

• Must have ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds

• Must handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure

• Cerner charting system experience preferred

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive radiology department with an average daily census of 350 patients. The facility provides quality imaging services to aid in diagnosis and patient care, featuring modern ultrasound technology and specialized procedures. The organization offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
