Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Minimum 3 years PCU, ICU, or Step Down experience required

• Patient ratio of 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Weekend coverage required with minimum of 7 weekend shifts per 13-week contract

• Floating required in case of low census

• 24-hour orientation provided

• One pre-approved time off allowed

• ADN required, BSN preferred

• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing required

• BLS required, ACLS required within first year of employment

• Travel experience highly preferred

• Cerner charting system experience preferred

• PNCC certification preferred

• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer

• Provide direct patient care and leadership within nursing team

• Utilize nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care

• Care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including post-op cardiac surgeries, CHF exacerbation, COPD exacerbation, and various medical conditions

• Perform special procedures including cardioversions, trache care, central monitoring, and moderate sedation

• Work with specialized equipment including monitors and Zoll defibrillators

• Must be able to stand and walk up to 12 hours per shift, lift 50+ pounds, and handle critical situations

This healthcare facility operates a 9-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The organization emphasizes evidence-based care within a healing culture and utilizes a Shared Governance model for nursing practice.
