Travel RN - Med​/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Acute Care Float Pool position requiring stepdown experience and night shift availability.

• Active AR or Compact State RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Stepdown experience required; critical care experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred

• Float pool position supporting ER hold, overflow units, adult and geriatric psych, and inpatient rehab units
• May be responsible for pediatric patients when floated to the ER depending on RN experience
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• Provide direct patient care and leadership within the nursing team using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote evidence-based care through a shared governance model
• Position is designated safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing medical marijuana
• Facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana; candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive result
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
