Job DescriptionThe Bioenvironmental Engineer (BE) will perform Bioenvironmental Engineering activities in the fields of industrial hygiene (IH), occupational health (OH), and radiological health to ensure healthy working conditions are maintained.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Knowledge of BE instructions, policies, procedures, and standards related to industrial hygiene (IH), occupational health (OH), and ionizing and non-ionizing radiation is required.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds; requirements may include prolonged walking, standing, sitting, or bending.
- Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist is highly desirable.
- Certification as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and/or Laser Safety Officer (LSO) under the DoD, USAFSAM, or civilian equivalent certifying institutions is highly desirable.
- HAZMAT certification is highly desirable.
